Marrakech Express

A travel guide by our creative director, With love. ZYNE

Marrakech is my Eldorado in Morocco,

it’s so alive and very peaceful at the same time.

Once there, I always feel so inspired but also very relaxed. It really depends on the energy you want to have from festive to pure calm scenery. The beauty of choosing Marrakech for a trip is that it can be any type of holiday you desire. Whether you want to face plants while relaxing on a sun lounger by the pool, shop until you reach your overdraft limit in the souks of the old city or spend a day hiking in the Atlas Mountains. You’ll definitely find an activity to please your highest expectations.

A Perfect Day

The perfect day in Marrakech would start with a long walk through the medina when it is still quiet to discover its ocher streets and pay a visit to my friend Soufiane Zarib, the owner of the best carpet store you can imagine. Everything is so well exposed. Personally, I just love to sit and find how inspiring is to see the men opening every carpet. The three floors are full of decorative handmade objects, sculptures. The place also has a great terrace plumbing the Medina.
For lunch, I would sit on the terrace of El Fenn and enjoy their delicious food overlooking the city. Then, in the afternoon, I would walk around Dar El Bacha and get a coffee at the stunning Musee des confluences. The time comes for a relaxing moment at la Sultana for an authentic Moroccan Hammam.
For dinner, I will join my friends at my favorite Bo e Zin where the music and vibes never disappoint me..
